Jamaican reggae band fronted by [a41441] but initially formed as [a52145] vocal group, with [a=peter tosh] & [a=bunny wailer], then adding the rhythm section of [a=the upsetters] ([a386410] & [a386407]). In 1974, after Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer departures, producer [a=chris blackwell] renamed the group Bob Marley & The Wailers (even if some previous records were released with this name) and marketed it as a rock band (vocalist + instrumental band).
