CBS/Sony

CBS/Sony was a label in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, South-East Asia and Spain. In Japan the label was launched in 1968 by [l=CBS/Sony Records Inc.], a 50/50 joint-venture company of [l=CBS Inc.] and Sony Japan that was established in the same year. Before 1968, CBS' licensee in Japan was [l=Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd.]. In August 1973 the CBS/Sony label became part of [l=CBS/Sony Inc.].
