Merco plastic Billy Moore, Jr. is credited as the writer of "Baby, Get Lost," but Leonard Feather wrote the song and used Moore's name in place of his--Feather and Moore were friends. Per Joel Whitburn's book, "Top R&B Singles 1942-1988" : A side was Washington's 2nd #1 hit, spending 2 weeks at #1 spot, and more than 3 months total on the R&B chart. It also made it to #1 on Billboard's Juke Box chart.
