Notes

Recorded 10–14 December 1957. First released Nov.1958. ⓟ 1958 on labels and rear of sleeve, and Sleeve Notes dated 1958. On the label "the EMI block indicates 1969 or later" - the Gilbert & Sullivan discography website states this version was released in Nov.1977. The website also points out the confusion over who sings Sergeant Meryll & Second Yeoman. This release lists John Cameron as Meryll and John Carol-Case as the Yeoman but on the original 1958 release they are listed the other way round
